The GEC Open, in association with OMA Emirates Kenya national qualifier was held at Karen Country Club in Nairobi, Kenya on October 5, 2018. The tournament was played in stableford format in three divisions amongst the crème-de-la- crème of Kenya’s amateur golf fraternity. Over 80 industry big-wigs came together for a competitive yet fun filled round of golf complemented with networking lunches and gala dinner.
Anthony Murage grabbed the top spot with 36 points playing off a handicap of 4.9 while the second spot belonged to Kathendu Mutua who edged out competition for the total of 35 points who was playing off a 12.8 handicap. For the third and final place, Fred Lobo scored 33 total points off a 6.3 handicap.
