A prestigious sports and leisure club set up in the British period, WSC features an 18 holes par 65 golf course with many criss crossing holes in a relatively easy but remarkably tight layout with dense and mature vegetation. Given the prime locality in the south part of Mumbai, in which it is situated, one as a golfer should feel fortunate that a golf course exists here. Located in the heart of the city, opposite the race course and close to the Haji Ali circle, the Willingdon Sports Club is one of the old British era clubs. It was built in 1933 by Lord Willingdon, the then Governor of Mumbai. Today the club boasts of an 18 hole golf course plus a pool, 6 tennis courts, squash and badminton facilities and a health club.
