Jamshedpur is known in history as the Steel City of India, but over time this city began warming up to the idea of becoming a sports center and more importantly, a center for golf. Perhaps, it was the leadership and vision of Jamshedji Tata who had great plans for this small town, or perhaps it was the fact that this small town was ideally located for golf. Part of the Chota Nagpur plateau, Jamshedpur is located in Jharkhand state, amid hills and is bordered by the Dalma hills from west to east and is covered with dense forests. Such idyllic surroundings were the inspiration for developing the region with golf courses. The Tata group promoted this sport actively and soon Jamshedpur became home to two golf courses–the Beldih Golf Course and the Golmuri Golf Course.

The Golmuri golf course at Jamshedpur is a 18 hole course that was established around 1988 & along with Beldih hosts the Tata open every year. The course plays to a 18 hole, 6600 yard +, Par 71 layout with Bermuda greens & fairways.

The winner(s) of the national qualifying round will represent their country at the World Final – Dubai Corporate Golf World Cup 2018 – to be held on two world class golf courses on 13th December & 14th December 2018 in Dubai, UAE.

The competition is a One day 18 holes tournament.
Format of the play is Individual Stableford for amateur golfers (min age 18) off 75% index handicap.
Handicap classes as decided by the club.
Players are not allowed to choose playing partners over the course of the tournament
The value of prizes will not exceed the limit fixed for players of amateur status.
